 Kerosene ?

So i was talkin to my dad the other week and he told me bout his old Twin Turbo GMC and about how he added kerosene to his diesel to boost the octane, has anyone ever tried it? i wanna but im a lil worried, lol.

wow... ummm, i've read in the owners manuals that diesel engines require NO additional additives, BUT... not to say it's a bad thing... I add a can of Seafoam every month or so just for poops and giggles... not sure if it even helps anything...

Check on the dieselbombers site and see if anyone does this...

I'll look around as well... Keep us update if you figure anything out...

Kerosene is just like #1 diesel fuel. Keeps your fuel from gelling, not really a concern here in Florida. Cetane is what diesel fuel has...gas is Octane. Your power and mileage will be worse with kerosene. It has less BTU's than regular its more expensive with less lubricity than plain ol number 2 diesel.

i put 2 stroke motor oil in all of my trucks.not much of a difference in the 04 but in my 12valve it increased my mpg by .7 & felt like it acceleratied a lil faster

I put it in my PSD and my makes the most difference in the Duramax. That old Ford would run on practically anything.
