Hey guys, this may be up on some of your lists, but its the Gator Diesel Drags held at Gainesville Raceway, this year its not scheduled in August or September, its the weekend after the Gatornationals, on March 26th

Yeah back to back, means I have to make the choice of which one I want to go to lol, but I may just save up my money and go to a concert coming up in April

my cousin will be coming up that weekend and he want's to go to this too, so I guess i'm going and so is he... Anyone else going? we can park together and have a shin-dig, bbq, and have a good time

yeah I might be there too, If I do go, I will probably park closer to the end of grandstands, cuz too me its much better watching the finishes, than the burnouts/starts

you and me both.......i guess while we are there we could price out a suncoast transmission for either of our's, just to see how hard we would have to work to buy one

i say $3500 for just a rebuild kit... what do u think?

eh not that high, I know the rebuild kit for the E4OD is $450 just for the new clutches and other internals, plus a new triple-disc torque converter is another $1300.....

And since you have the Allison 5-spd, they do have a conversion piece to take a stock 5-spd and turn it into a 6-spd, plus a new torque converter and rebuild kit shouldnt cost much more than what it is for mine

now that I looked at it, it may be cheaper to buy a newly rebuild trans from them, than it is to buy all the parts for it, due to all the electronics, and a new rebuild transmission is just under the $3500 that you had previously stated

haha, yeah i'd done the math at some point a while back and came up to around 3500 - i guess that's why i assumed that... lol I can use that money much better than on a truck... lol wish i could blow it on the truck tho

Yep...$3500 is what it costs to do an Allison right. It is only good to 400HP until its built. Been there and done that. LOL

yeah, you would know... lol I wonder why they don't just build a built motor / tranny package in a stock truck... seems like they could charge an extra $5000 or so and supply a stock vehicle with 450hp/700fp torgue... The tech is there plus some aftermarket parts... They are just governed I guess by the big man with nothing better to do than make up global warming crap to blame on big trucks... lol

A friend of mine in Calif. is sending me some aftermarket diesel stuff to put in Advance Auto as kind of a market test to see how it sells. Should be interesting,

lol hey Kodiak, you and I hv had this discussion before, I came in Advanced Auto one night and bought a can of starter fluid for mine, and u had asked me if I had that diesel that was running outside....... are u going to the races?

I am definitely going to this one i have my schedule cleared, yeah it would be cool to park together and have a little get together

I am lucky my transmission was replaced less than a month before i bought it, due to the guy cracking the entire transmission casing after hauling in the neighborhood of 30,000 lbs, so i am good and i am running Royal Purple in it so it will last
