Engine Fan Empty
PostSubject: Engine Fan   Engine Fan EmptyTue Mar 22, 2011 5:35 pm

I've been thinking... (i know that's a hard thing to believe)... I like the sound of the engine fan when it blows hard... is there a way to make that fan always blow harder or is this dangerous for some reason? what are the pros and cons?... Living in Florida, it def. won't hurt to get more air to the engine... Any thoughts on this??? I prefer home remedies, but I guess a new fan clutch wouldn't set me back too much...

I think your mileage would suffer. There should be a way to lock the fan clutch electronically. I'll have to think about this one. Might be able to program a different parameter to make the ECM think the truck is always running hot.

Why not get an electric puller fan? You can buy them from any performance shop or get one from a junkyard car and just put it on a switch so you can choose when it comes on. Just remember to turn it off when you turn the truck off, lol.
